4. Scrub your deck. Remove any dirt, grime, or mildew that may have built up over the warmer months. A power washer can make this chore more effortless, but be sure to use it on a lower setting to avoid damaging your deck.
5. Upgrade to energy-efficient light bulbs. Not only will this save you money on your energy bill, but it’s also better for the environment. Choose LED or CFL bulbs to get the most bang for your buck.
